Out of the Brooder

We moved these three-week old broilers out of the brooder and onto pasture yesterday. We’ll move these pens every day to make fresh forage available to the birds and give them a clean space to live.


Vocabulary -

Brooder: a heated facility to hold young birds during the early stages of life.

Broiler: a type of chicken bred for efficient growth and intended for meat (not eggs).
