New Pigs!

We picked up little pigs this weekend! We’re starting them on pasture right away. The paddocks are sized to give each pig at least 48 sqaure yards of pasture. We’ll move them to a new paddock about every 5-12 days. As an interesting fact: in the swine industry, “pig” really refers to a member of swine weighing 60lbs or less. Between 60lbs and 120lbs they’re called “shoats,” and after reaching 120lbs they become “hogs.”
