Spring Chickens

Baby Chicks are here! They'll be out on pasture in 2 or 3 weeks.

We picked them up from the hatchery yesterday. They don't need food for three days after hatching, so the first feed they get is our non-GMO starter.

We also offer the little chicks grit right away, which in this case is natural sand right from the Clear Creek. Birds need grit for digestion. When first introduced to food and grit, new chicks usually take the grit first.
